About the Authors
Uncle-and-nephew duo Clayton and Jere Steiner share their rich Mennonite heritage, as well as an enthusiasm for compelling writing. Clayton, long considered the family historian, had kept records of the Steiner history for years, and now wanted to record an account of his own life to give to his children and grandchildren. Clayton's Chronicles was born out of a deep love for both history and creativity, as Clayton asked his nephew Jere, an artist in his own right with a knack for putting words to page, if he would author his biography.
Jere SteinerJere has always felt most alive when he is exercising his creative gene, whether through inventing games, performing his curious skits, composing essays, or writing his first published book, Clayton’s Chronicles, with his uncle, Clayton.
